The Place
WORK-IN-PROGRESS, Premiere 2025
The Place examines our relationship with places in general. However, the reflexions and connections are carved from one very concrete experience in a place that we call The Place. And this one is one of these kind of places that we hardly notice and where we have probably not experienced anything special yet. You would never find it on a postcard or in a tourist guide.
In the format of an interactive performance, the audience of The Place is invited to linger and walk around in a place like that in order to relate to it and the places inside of it in a variety of ways, playing little games, imagining and recognising the traces and symptoms of our presence.
Accompanied by the idea that we are always in a place, and in that sense also always part of a place, the aim is to cherish and care for the places we live in, understanding that they carry us unconditionally through life.
With The Place we concentrate on how to bond with places and how to create a contagion for an audience from those findings in order to rethink the way we are in the world.
